everyone loves comic con in san diego

San Diego Comic Con 2011!

The beginning of San Diego’s coolest time and hottest weather.

The streets are filled with installers, enormous murals appear overnight, saucy Ukrainian pedicab drivers careen through the streets, and buildings with or without tenants become offsite experiences to accompany “the Con”.  The Convention Center glows from the creative energy inside and the event that everyone, even the douchiest of the jocks, is getting an energetic buzz from the sudden influx of new energy.

I have a space down here and it is always pretty cool, but right now it’s one of the coolest in the world.

Aah, Geek Love.

On the flip side, the restrooms in the Convention Center are already unbearable.  Really? We can send a man to the moon, but we can’t properly ventilate nerd droppings?

Alternative Art you just missed.

Since the actual launch date for this blog is the 2011 Comic Con in San Diego… you have missed this.  Exhibition night was July 1st 2011and a uber blast.  This show should be a regular event in San Diego for artists to mix, show, sell, and prepare for the massive invasion that is The CON.
