I pitched a shirt to Stan once. Even made prototypes.
There are a couple left. I’ll put the proceeds towards the SuperLiterate Project. http://superliterateproject.org
Stan Lee is My Homeboy- the forbidden homage
Adrienne Curry LOVED them, everyone on his staff (at the time) dug them too, even STAN thought it was cool. But the corporate giants involved didn’t want to deal with a little guy like me. Stan didn’t even get a say. It was at the first Comikaze in LA. They had an after party with Peter Murphy as the headliner.
SO rad, only a hundred or so attending in a small venue. Stan joined Peter, and Peter bowed in his presence. I still think this shirt is a cool homage. I wear mine.
For the 8th year or so, maybe 9 who knows or cares, we from Danger Factory, Popular Naughty and friends will be displaying our wares and personalities at booth 1617 within the mind-boggling Comic Con International! Besides the clothing line thing (all designed by raconteur, Lothario and artist-type, Rex Edhlund), we will have a selection of super rare TIKI MUGS from Boo Tiki, and the most recent releases from legendary alt art and underground publisher LAST GASP! Please come by. Please enjoy.
Yeah. A LOT of stuff happens when you put 150,000 creative, enthusiastic people in one place. This is one of the MANY by-products of the San Diego Comic Con. 2013 was a great year.
More to come. The streets were filled with adventure, talent, and creative passion.
Because Steampunk is cool, cowboys are cool, and robots are megacool. https://www.facebook.com/events/205303929600577/
I always thought Velma was the hot one. The daft Daphne cheerleader character has never been my type. No sir, give me nerdy science facts, a bunch of logic, and a short skirt. THAT will get me in a mystery solving mood.
First mystery: How do I get Velma alone.
See much more at GeekXgirls, cool, very pro, and very uhh…. “appealing?” Cosplay.
