Kong- the third in my lifetime. That’s a LOT of recycling, but then again Spiderman has kind of won that short attention span thing that Hollywood loves so much. Here are some green-haired thoughts from our co-conspirator, ComicBookGirl19.
And MAN what a reminder of that friggin’ twenty buck ape suit in King Kong VS Godzilla. Hilarious violence! Yay!
It will be remade again soon. Just as soon as we master a bit of Virtual Reality programming. We will adventure right beside the soldiers and feel the warm blood splash on us in an expensive VR environment and all get sore necks fromm staring up at a towering Kong leering down on us.
Finally settled in LA. All things moved and within reach. Now to become integrated into the creative, arts, and absurdist scene that bubbles under the Hollywood glitz. First off after a Friday night off we have this great event at Self Help Graphics around the corner from my new Boyle Heights pad-
EVEN CLOSER is a well rounded performance in an incredible multi-media space, Dronebox, we have Legendary Comic, Adam Barnhardt’s One-Man Show, Comedy by Jeff Husbands, and LIVE MUSIC by The Flusters https://www.facebook.com/events/285190801875736/
Tomorrow it is only an extra couple of miles to the Fashion District and that mad loft in an area abandoned at dusk, Think Tank Gallery
for a show, a podcast, and probably some sketchy food that I will buy from a street vendor.
“The future is looking sexy this weekend at Think Tank. We welcome The Fuchur to our clean white walls, where there will be a selection of very dirty artworks for your pleasure.
The show is an elaborate expo of what humanity could look like in 200 years. Around the gallery you will find ambassadors from the future here to show us what is in store.” Then a live podcast from the sub luminaries from Awkward Human. https://www.facebook.com/events/847404955362945/
Comic Con has re-invaded San Diego, out streets team with Hollywood special effect goons, pop-up shops are peeking out of their nooks, and the party atmosphere begins to coalesce. This lil’ ol’ blogmediasite- Danger Factory, is getting ready too. This is really our official launch and we are teaming up with Nerdular: a new online geek community for collectibles and networking, the clever, opinionated and gorgeous ComicBookGirl19, and the rambunctious and talented PodCrash/G4 host, Chris Gore, for our Industry Night for the Comic Con and Media Professionals. Friday Night of the Con.
There will be about 500 to 700 of you coming through our office loft on 5th Avenue in the Gaslamp Quarter and we hope to say hi to you all. We’ll also be hosting the Free Gaslamp Quarter WiFi during the Con. We hope to announce some booze sponsors later today, so hang tight.
Come by our booth AT comic Con (#1617) and see our geek friendly, bad ass, punk rock, social monkeywrenching streetwear and meet our superstar co-host.
You know, I’m a dude. I could go on a bit about this uber-hip, quick-witted, alabaster-skinned, authentic geek with strong opinions, sexy tattoos, hot pink mohawk, and tantalizing sexiness… BUT I am going to focus mostly on her opinions. The chicks got great taste! I love going to her webcasts cuz I know I am going to get some thorough, educated opinions from someone who has paid attention and put things through an OCD wringer. Although I totally dug the movie Prometheus, her way-the-fuck-too-indepth reporting and analysis made the experience a zillion times more fun. I look forward to watching the movie, re-listening to her rants, and watching it again.
Okay, yeah she is also crazy hot. But even if she was just a highly opinionated brain in a jar, she’s a keeper.
At the beggining of this post is a painting of her by Dan Dos Santos for Diana Rowland’s,r White Trash Zombie Apocalypse book. Go to https://www.facebook.com/Comicbookgirl19 to keep tabs on her adventures, she is gonna be a massive superstar. I told you first.
Danger Factory, where geeks rule, weird is cool, and we swim in the exotic cocktail of music, art, and the world.
