From a thick, old Japanese mag with a zillion sections on differing papers and page sizes, so cool. But I had ZERO idea what any of it was, and the answer only hit the internet a few years ago. I found the image on a one page newsprint article with no english. But the image killed me.
So I scanned a section and colorized it like a pop art print. Super odd and I super love it. I later found out that it is a Japanese kid's show from back in the day. It's about a freaky kid octopi that is exceptionally grabby and greedy. He learns life lessons with his mutated chums. You see, Kure Kure Takora is his name, and that translates roughly to "Gimme Gimme Octopus". It's their version of HR Pufnstuf I suppose. But even funkier. You have to watch. I found out what it was from a merchant of rare and ultra-collectible Japanese toys and manga. He had a flippin' head and glove set of the character!! YES I BOUGHT THEM! Perhaps some day I will do a photo series of the most exotic models in the world, all wearing the Gimme Gimme Octopus dress up set. There's a new fetish for ya.
I guess here it's his green SEA monster brother, yes?
Usually referred to as, "One of the most oddest tokusatsu shows out there."
